Co-founders Justin and Lauren Lancy

About our Co-Founders

Lauren Lancy is an apparel and lifestyle product designer and trend forecaster who has worked in New York City, London, Florence, Luang Prabang, Chiang Mai, Jaipur, Dhaka and is now based in Los Angeles. Focused on culture-specific craft, design, and sustainability, Lauren created THE KINDCRAFT in 2014 while living in Southeast Asia working with indigenous textile artisans.

Justin Lancy is a Los Angeles-based journalist whose contributions have appeared in The Atlantic, Los Angeles Review of Books, New York Magazine, Harper's Bazaar India, AFAR, and Travel + Leisure. He also works as a technology advisor and his projects have been featured by Lifehacker.com, Evernote, and others.

The couple met as neighbors in Brooklyn, New York in 2004 and have traveled globally living abroad for six years in Southeast Asia. THE KINDCRAFT was built on their shared passion for connecting with creative people and ideas.
